A rehearsal, and an honest one
160 questions, 4 subtests, nothing marked until you hand it in. None of them has ever appeared in practice.
160
questions, 40 a subtest
That number is OURS. Riverside Assessments publishes no length for the TACHS, and the page says so rather than implying otherwise.
no clock
because none is published
Where a publisher gives a time we use it exactly — the HSPT paper runs 143 minutes. Inventing one for the TACHS would be fake urgency dressed as realism.
1,556
questions held back
The paper is dealt from a pool practice cannot reach. A child who has practiced every day has still never seen one of these.
The paper we deal, section by section
- Reading40 questionsuntimedours
- Written Expression40 questionsuntimedours
- Mathematics40 questionsuntimedours
- Ability40 questionsuntimedours
Nothing is marked until a section is handed in — that is what makes it a rehearsal rather than practice, and it is the skill the day actually requires. The score afterwards is a raw score and is described as one: neither publisher releases the tables that turn raw answers into the number a school sees.
The mock papers and the report
Practice tells your child whether they got a question right. A paper tells you something practice cannot: how they do across a whole sitting, answering 160 questions in a row without being told, on 1,556 questions they have never seen. The report afterwards says which topics the marks went missing in — which is the half a score does not tell you, and the half that decides what to do with the weeks that are left.
- The TACHS paper and the HSPT paper
- The report afterwards: every question, your answer, and what each wrong choice stands for
- Where the marks went, topic by topic, and how many were left blank rather than got wrong
- As many sittings as you like for the whole 2026–2027 season — every visit deals a fresh paper from the held-back pool, and nothing renews
Everything else on this site stays free and needs no account: all 1,854 practice questions, every explanation, both exam pages and everything on them. Buying does not unlock any of it, because none of it was locked.
$129
That is the total. No tax added at the end, no subscription, nothing that renews.
Ask for a refund within 30 days and you get it. No questions, no form, no “did you use it”.
Payment is handled by Stripe on their own page; card details never reach us.
Not sure? Then don’t. Keep practicing — 1,854 questions, every explanation, no account and no card, and that is not a trial that runs out.
We are not able to tell you whether this is worth $129 to you, and the publisher of the HSPT advises parents to avoid expensive preparation materials. Try the free questions first — that is what they are there for.
Whose shape this paper is
Every section length above is ours. Riverside Assessments publishes no question count and no time limit for the TACHS, and this product never presents one as the exam's.
